The allegation that the Israeli Mossad is active in Zimbabwe is totally baseless. There is no Mossad involvement whatsoever in the Zimbabwean elections.
In reaction to an article in the Mail & Guardian, March 28th 2008, it must be emphatically stated that there are no Israeli intelligence agents in Zimbabwe, and there has been no interference with the elections held recently.
The Government of Israel adheres to its long-standing policy of avoiding any security and law enforcement cooperation with Harare. Furthermore, the Government of Israel is consistently refusing any Israeli provider of security or law enforcement related transaction of services or equipment with Zimbabwe, be it Government or business.
The allegations made by opposition activists in Zimbabwe, and as quoted by the Mail & Guardian of March 28th, regarding the collaboration in the elections in Zimbabwe, are totally baseless.
